This natural facial mask is very simple to make and it does so many things: it cleanses, detoxifies, moisturizes and brightens the skin. This is all due to one powerful ingredient - spirulina. Spirulina - is a type of blue-green algae, which is packed with protein, minerals, vitamins, carotenoids and antioxidants.

This mask is suitable for any skin types but is especially beneficial to people who are prone to acne. French green clay cleanses the skin removing oils and impurities, spirulina detoxifies the skin, promotes healing and brightens the skin (say bye to discoloration caused by acne) and honey with carrier oil make sure that your skin stays moisturized and protected.

This mask is completely natural. This means that you should only prepare this mask in small batches and use it the same day. It should not be stored for a longer time because bacteria will start growing in it.

The recipe is easy to modify: choose different carrier oil, add essential oils, use brewed green tea instead of water, etc.

Ingredients:

  * 1 tbsp Spirulina powder (you can crush spirulina tablets to get powder)

  * 1/2 tbsp Green Clay

  * 1 tsp Sweet almond oil (but any light oil you have should do)

  * 1/2 tsp honey

  * 1 vitamin E capsule

 * Optional: spirulina does not smell nice. It does not bother me too much but you may want to add couple drops of your favorite essential oil to mask the smell.

Once you have all your ingredients ready just place them all in a bowl and mix mix mix. Yep, it's that simple. You may need to add some water to adjust the consistency of your mask (it has to be spreadable but other than that it is up to your preference). Smear it all over your face and neck, keep it for 10 - 15 min and rinse. To fully eliminate clay from your face always finish by cleaning your face with a toner.

Enjoy your mask and naturally beautiful skin!
